ATTENDANCE REPORTING
Please remember to use the InPhoNet to report your child’s absence. 777-2222, Box 1310 (Student Absence Reporting InPhoNet). It is always printed on the top of this newsletter. We must hear from a parent when a student will be absent. By using the InPhoNet, it frees up the phone lines for teachers to make outgoing calls before school.
DISMISSAL CHANGES
If dismissal plans will be changed, please send in a note with your student. For safety reasons, if we do not receive a note about dismissal changes, students will follow their regular routine. Thank you for your help with this matter.
VOLUNTEERING AT BROWN
Parent volunteers are a wonderful support in the work that takes place each day at Brown. Before you volunteer, here are the requirements:
- A volunteer background check must be obtained at our Central Office on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 9:00-11:00 AM and 1:00-3:00 PM on a walk-in basis. If these hours are not convenient for you, please call 921-7099 to schedule an appointment.
- Be sure to stop in the office when you arrive and sign in. You will need to have a volunteer badge to be admitted to the class.
FOOD ALLERGIES AT BROWN
We have a number of food allergies at Brown, such as gluten-free diets and peanut allergies. Please consult your classroom teacher before sending in treats for birthdays or classroom parties to avoid any health issues. In most rooms, this is not a problem. However, we need your help to make sure we do not have certain foods in certain rooms. Thanks for your understanding with this issue.
RECYCLING INK AND LASER CARTRIDGES
Please continue sending in ink and laser cartridges to be recycled! Choose to Lead continues to recycle all types of ink and laser cartridges. For every cartridge that we recycle we earn money towards educational materials. Please send in cartridges to school with your child throughout the entire school year. For more information contact Mrs. Huffman.
